I just wanted to let you know that I have registered to take part in the Red Bull Storm Chase:

The idea is to watch and wait for the biggest storm that this autumn can throw at Europe and have one windsurfer from each of nine countries chase it down and find the most radical conditions their home beaches can deliver. The Red Bull Storm Chase is no competition – it is a pure challenge of man vs. Mother Nature at her most ferocious.

I really want to be the one windsurfer to represent the UK for this unique and dangerous adventure. I have been chasing wind and waves for 22 years now and I really think this event captures the essence of windsurfing.

• The first round of voting takes place from the 17th July to 31st
• The second round takes place from 1st August to 13th
• And the winners’ wait for the storm begins on the 1st September

I’d be very grateful, if when the time comes, you would vote for me to represent the UK for the Red Bull Storm Chase. I will drop you an email with details of how to vote when the voting begins. In the meantime enclosed is a desk top wallpaper of me doing what I love – windsurfing in big waves.

Hi gang, you’re not going to believe this but…

I have just been informed that due to some security issues with the voting system, the Red Bull Storm Chase Round 1 is to be re-started tomorrow at 16.00, after new security measures have been installed.

I am in complete support of the organisers decision to do this and I would be very grateful if you could recast your vote for me.

Please revisit www.redbullstormchase.com after 16.00 Thursday 20th July and follow the voting instructions.

Firstly thank you so much for voting in the 1st round of the Red Bull Storm Chase – your vote managed to not only get me into the top 5, but to the number 1 position!!!

Now I really need your help and vote again in this second and FINAL round. Please Vote Now ?
In this round there are just 5 riders and the competition is fierce.
I would be eternally grateful if you could just spend another minute or so and vote for me in this final round.

If I make the top spot again you will have voted me to represent GB in the Red Bull Storm Chase this autumn!!! And I promise I will give you some awesome windsurfing action.

Click the big VOTE NOW! button.
Then find “Great Britain” at the bottom of the page and click “VOTE NOW”.
Find “Jan Sleigh” in the list of registered riders and click on “VOTE FOR ME”.
You need a new voting code.
Submit your email address in the box provided. A new voting code will be sent to your email address Inbox.
Type in or Copy and Paste the voting code from the email into the voting code box on my voting page and press “Confirm”
